Why our floors are different:
More Flakes
Many contractors will use a light or medium sprinkle of flakes on your floor. We only do a FULL BROADCAST of flakes. Anything less doesn’t look nearly as good and is far less durable. For a 500 square foot garage, we will use 75lbs of flakes while others might only use 5lbs of flakes for a medium coverage. This costs a little bit more, but has a huge impact on the look and strength of the floor.
More Layers
Our floors consist of at least 4 layers, often more. Primer, Base coat, Flakes and Topcoat(s). Cheaper coatings may try to combine the primer and base coat layers or use a cheap or non-existent topcoat. This results in a weaker floor that is less durable and shorter lived. We NEVER skip steps and will provide you strongest and best looking floor you can find.
More Product
Some contractors will advertise one day floor installs. In most cases this is not a great choice for flooring. They will do this by either skipping steps or using a thin polyurethane or polyaspartic primer and base coat layer. These quick drying poly products may be excellent for top coat layers, but a true epoxy is the best for primers and base coats. We don’t limit ourselves to certain products and will use the best option for each layer based upon your intended use and desired look of the floor.
